USS Ormsby (APA-49) Photo Gallery 12

When shipmate Carl R. Santee passed away, his hamily comissioned a memorial bench constructed. This bench now sits in front of the Springfield Memorial Library in Springfield Nebraska. Here are some pictures from the dedication ceremony. The bench says "In Loving Memory of WWII Veteran Carl R. Santee". It also says "U.S.S. Ormsby". The bench has a replica of the Ormsby painted on the front side and on the back side is a painting of the US Flag that flew over Pearl Harbor.
