Dec-1944 Cruise Book
Between December 3, 1944 and December 21, 1945, the USS Ormsby (APA-49) made a "Magic Carpet" run from Okinawa to Portland, Oregon to ferry returning servicemen home from the South Pacific. It was a tradition to prepare a souvenir "Cruise Book" to give to the returning service men. I found an Ormsby Cruise Book for sale on eBay and I won the auction.
